ABOUT THE PROJECTS

The 18 participants of Imagine Bocconi will be divided into 6 teams of 3 Dreamers each. Each team is formed by individuals with distinct profiles. The 6 resulting projects, organized by the sponsor(s) will center on creatively solving an issue that the sponsor faces in a particular business segment

Being already one of the leading international insurance and financial groups, the new Generali strategy aims to reinforce its leadership position in the retail insurance market in Europe, delivering a continuous increase in cash and dividends to its shareholders, consistently with its history, business approach and expertise.

Becoming a retail leader insurance in Europe will require to enhance the customer experience by becoming a lean and agile operator with a “simple & smart” approach. When acting along these lines, the customer experience throughout the life cycle of the insurance policy will be improved, distributors’ capabilities will be extended to produce up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and new insurance solutions will be offered. Generali relies on innovation as a key driver for future growth, as IT allows for more tailored solutions and quicker product development. Indeed, through this innovation Generali aims to achieve product excellence in the new market context.
Generali is already working in this direction and it was in fact designated in 2015 among the 50 smartest companies in the world by the prestigious MIT Technology Review, whose mission is to identify companies that create disruptive business models leveraging on innovative technologies.

This initiative will further help Generali to promote culture of innovation internally and externally.

The challenge identified for the Imagine Bocconi initiative, “how to improve the insurance offering and the customer experience for millennials”, goes in this direction by leveraging on the innovation capabilities of the target group itself, within a co-design philosophy.
